Daniel was the son of Bartholomew and Rebecca (Hazel) Mabry. He moved with his family to Chickasaw County, MS about 1841 and to Conway County, AR about 1846. He married Nancy Cardin on November 7, 1858 in Conway Co., AR. They were the parents of two children, George B. and Nancy A.
