Ruby Lee Hall Freeman, daughter of the late Samuel Isaac Hall and Jenny Bell Herd Hall, was born November 28, 1921 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. She departed this life November 20, 2012 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 23 days. Married to Roy William Freeman on August 30, 1947 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grand mother, homemaker and friend. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Calico Rock Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Roy William Freeman of the home; two daughters: Jo Anne Zieske of Calico Rock and Cheryl Louise Newsom of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren: Eve Zieske, Sharon Henderson, Christine Newsom and Tommy Newsom; three great grandchildren: Sarah Starr, Erica Craig and Payton Mayfield and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son: Kenneth Wayne Freeman.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, November 24 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to: Hospice House of the Ozarks, 774 Long Street, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
