SPRINGDALE — Wm. Oscar Owens, 78, of Springdale died March 8, 2005, at his home. He was born March 9, 1926, in Vinemont, Ala., to David L. and Amy Bates Owens. He moved to Springdale in 1951 from Oklahoma and worked for Jones Truck Lines as a truck driver for 27 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and was an Army veteran. He was a Christian. He was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Owens.
Survivors include his wife, Alma West Owens of the home, to whom he was married Dec. 15, 1941; three sons, Larry Owens and wife Barbara of Clifty, Gary Owens and wife Carol and Phil Owens, all of Springdale; one brother, Allen Owens of Scipio, Okla.; two sisters, Estel Ray of Wanatchee, Wash., and Mary Goodson of Lamar, Okla.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with Chaplain Chuck Bengston officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 610 E. Emma Ave., Springdale, 72764.

SPRINGDALE — Alma Lee Owens, 83, of Springdale died July 30, 2008, in Huntsville. She was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Lamar, Okla., to John and Ethel Storts West.
She was a Realtor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Owens, and a son, Steve Owens.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Owens and wife Barbara of Clifty, Gary Owens and wife Carol, and Phillip Owens and wife Reba, all of Springdale; two brothers, Junior West of Tulsa, Okla., and Darrell West of Springdale; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bluff Cemetery with Chuck Bengston officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.
