ROCK SPRINGS — Nellie Irene Shipley, 79, of the Rock Springs community near Lincoln died June 23, 2008, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born June 21, 1929, near Lincoln to Grover and Clara Hosmun Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Shipley.
Survivors include a son, Butch Shipley of Lincoln.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Lincoln. Burial was in Rhea Cemetery.
