CINCINNATI — Roy Gene Franks, 70, a resident of Cincinnati, Ark., passed away Jan. 15, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born June 12, 1940, in Fayetteville, Ark., the son of George William and Ruby McCamish Franks.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Sue Franks.
Survivors include his wife, Ophelia Franks of the home; one son, Tim Franks and his wife, Brenda of Waynesville, Mo.; one daughter, LaDonna Hays and her husband, Justin of West Fork, Ark.; his mother, Ruby Franks of Prairie Grove, Ark.; one brother, Billy Franks of Prairie Grove, Ark.; six grandchildren, Tyler, Levi, Lacy, Layne, Darci and Dalton; three stepgrandchildren, Adam, Ashley and Alex.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening (Monday) at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Ark.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Rhea Community Church in Rhea, Ark. Burial will be in Rhea Cemetery in Rhea, Ark.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Beeks, Charles Thompson, James Leach, Floyd Nash, John Robert Hart and G C Watson.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, AR 72202.
