David Henry Clay Stalnaker, 73, of Pocahontas, died Jan. 27, 2012. Born Aug. 1, 1938, in Smithville, he was the son of the late John William and Lucille Howard Stalnaker.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Cora Jackson, Pauline Brown and Flora Wildrick; and a brother, John Stalnaker.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Stalnaker; four sons, David Stalnaker and wife Tina and Billy Stalnaker, all of Pocahontas; Doug Dow, Richland, Wash., and David Dow, Eagle Creek, Ore.; a daughter, Lucy Cline and husband Bobby, Supply; a sister, Ora Duncan, Pocahontas; nine grandchildren, Amanda Carman, Wesley Stalnaker, Dustin Stalnaker, Keith Stalnaker, Kalista Cason, William Cason, Stephanie O’Hair, Tasha Dow and Danika Dow; five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Emily Turner. Funeral was Monday at 2 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home with Burley Lynxwiler officiating. Burial was in Dry Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Ingram, Ronald Carman, Chris Winebaugh, Lee Tweedy, Ted Grissom, Larry Cline, Donny Cline and Dan Tweedy. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Cline, David Stalnaker, Billy Stalnaker, Doug Dow and David Dow
