Betty Sue Horton, 72, of Powhatan, died Feb. 15, 2014, at her home.
Born Sept. 5, 1941, in Charleston, Mo., she was the daughter of Roy and Mary Ann Smith Boyd. She was a homemaker and a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Leon A. Horton; a son, Allen Horton and wife Wilma, Strawberry; a daughter, Leona Lawson and husband Richard, Spencerville, Ind.; a brother, James Roy Boyd and wife Sandy, Festus, Mo.; a sister, Shirley Hanshaw and husband Bob, Powhatan; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday at noon at Clear Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Rowdy Morgan officiating. Burial was in Powhatan Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Allen Horton, Richard Lawson, Joshua Cagle, Jeremy Cagle, Duane Hutchison, John Stewart, Howard Horton and Danny Hutchison. Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Cagle, Dennis Brooks and Ron Brown.
