FAYETTEVILLE — Pate Hutchinson, 88, of Fayetteville died Oct. 13, 2008, at his home. He was born April 19, 1920, in Fayetteville to William Franklin and Mary Bell Yarberry Hutchinson.
He was an employee of the city of Fayetteville, retiring after 20 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margurite Hutchinson.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Hutchinson of Prairie Grove and Rick Hutchinson of Fayetteville; his daughter, Deby Goodman of Fayetteville; his brother, J.C. Hutchinson of Riverside, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery.

Margurite Belle Hutchinson, 83, of Fayetteville died Friday, July 14, 2006, at Earlene Howard Hospice House in Springdale.
She was born Feb. 18, 1923, in Delaney, the daughter of Evan and Mittie Stanley Jones.
She was a retired dietician for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Hutchinson, to whom she was married April 13, 1946; two sons, Frank Hutchinson of Prairie Grove and Rick Hutchinson of Fayetteville; a daughter, Debra Goodman of Fayetteville; two brothers, J.C. Jones of Witter and David Jones of Farmington; four sisters, Vivian Johnson of Kansas City, Mo., Bert Moore of Farmington, Jean Glascow and Willean Stapleton, both of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 17 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.mooresfuneralchapel.com. Freda Reading and the Rev. Bill Williams will officiate.
Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Moore's.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association (for research), 1125 N. College, Suite 466, Fayetteville, 72703.
