Doyle Alexander Franklin, 85, of Robertstown, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Riverchase Nursing Home in Morrilton.
He was born October 21, 1927, to Alonzo Turner and Sarah Francis Crossno Franklin, in Wetumka, Oklahoma.
Doyle was of the Assembly of God faith and a member of the Cleveland Lodge #473. He was a bus driver and mechanic for 27 years for the Wonderview School District. He worked in the saw mill and timber industry, and enjoyed working in and around livestock sale barns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Ruth McGee Franklin; four sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Patti Franklin, of Oppelo, Leland and Julia Mae Franklin, of Appleton, Billy Franklin, of Conway, Bobby and Betty Franklin, of Chester Arkansas; one daughter, Linda Faye Rackley, of Jerusalem; three grandchildren, Valerie Church, of Jerusalem, Bradley Franklin of Dallas, Texas, Jacob Franklin of Little Rock; two step grandchildren, Ronnie and Randy Ashley of Van Buren; two great grandchildren, Tara Lafaye Scott, and Rodney Church of Jerusalem; one great-great granddaughter, Kaydence Scott of Jerusalem.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Bob Holyfield officiating. Burial will be at Robertstown Cemetery by Harris Funeral home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers will be Bradely Franklin, Jacob Franklin, Rodney Church, Greg Church, Jeremy Scott, and Gary Franklin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Hutson and Harlan Hutson.
