GARLAND, Texas - Ruby Lee Littlejohn, 92, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Arkadelphia, died July 16, 2006. She was born Aug. 15, 1913, daughter of the late William and Ernie Gray Fort. She worked as a nursing assistant, and was a member of Trinity AME Church in Royce City, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters, Alma Drane and Janette Washington.
Survivors include: Six daughters, Mary Hill of Arkadelphia, Odessa Carter of Sacramento, Calif., Linda Perry and Sadie Carter of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mertie Mitchell and Lavern Slaughter of Garland, Texas; one sister, Christine Burr of Minneapolis, Minn.; and 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Piney Grove AME Church with Rev. Flora J. Evans officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home.
