SHELL KNOB, Mo. — Robert "Bob" D. Breit, 68, of Shell Knob died Nov. 22, 2004, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo. He was born Dec. 25, 1935, in Ness City, Kan., to John L. and Appolonia Basgall Breit. He was educated in Garden City, Kan., and moved to Shell Knob five years ago from Anaheim and Ontario, Calif. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and camping. He married Donna Luther on Oct. 5, 1985.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; one son, Scott Vaughn and wife Debbie of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; two stepsons, Larry Botts and wife Colleen of Tustin, Calif., and David Botts of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Cynthia Van Wormer and husband Tom of Monument, Colo., and Dona Walker and husband Jim of Elk Grove, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Joy McDonald and husband Larry of Redlands, Calif.; one brother, Walter Breit of Garden City; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Williamson Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
A memorial service ill be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Farmington. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery, Fayetteville.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
