Marvin Leo Iberg, 77, of Conway, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, October 30, 2010.
Marvin was born May 13, 1933 in the Rocky Point community, near Vilonia to the late Cecil Marvin Iberg and Clara Williams Iberg.
Marvin served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning to Conway, he owned and operated a service station. Later he served as a police officer for the City of Conway, Faulkner County, and the University of Central Arkansas. He also worked as a truck driver and a bus dispatcher for Ward School Bus Manufacturing. He also owned and operated a vending route. Mr. Iberg was a 32nd degree mason. He was a member of Beryl Baptist Church in Vilonia.
Mr. Iberg enjoyed spending time with his family which included his daughter, Kathy Iberg Brents and husband Kenneth Brents of Cleveland, AR, two grandchildren, Ben Andrews and wife Jennifer of Tucson, AZ, Ashley Atkins and husband Matt of Metairie, LA and one great grandchild, Elisha Atkins of Metairie, LA. He is also survived by a sister, Freeda Rice of Conway. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herman Iberg.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501) 327-7727 with Paul Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Thorn Cemetery, Greenbrier.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kent Baker, Jim Favre, Don Langston, Galen Bumgarner, Joe White and Kurt Cooper.
A special “thank you” to Patrick and Susan Dickens and Baptist Hospice for the kindness shown to dad in his last days
