Kenneth William Turner, 83, of Lamar, died on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born on February 12, 1925 in Hiawatha, Kansas to the late Alfred Burl and Lena Pearl Turner. He was a member of the Lamar Baptist Church & the American Legion Bunch-Walton Post # 22, and a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a saw miller and logger by trade.

Kenneth is survived by three daughters, Kathy Dyer of Lamar, Arkansas, Lynne Nichols of Lamar, Arkansas, and Rita Kraus of Lamar, Arkansas; one son, Bill Turner of Lamar, Arkansas; two brothers, Ottis Turner of Portland, Oregon, and Burl Wayne Turner of Pomona, California; eleven grandchildren, Jamie Taylor, Becky Taylor, Erica Thomas, Alfred Milam, Shauna Milam, Matt Needham, Ashley Stewart, K.T. Turner, Ryan Turner, William Turner, & Cody Kraus; and eleven great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Burl and Lena Pearl Turner; his wife, Dorothy Turner; a son, James Dale Turner; and three brothers, Ray, Fay, and Arnold Turner.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2008. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville, with Brother Vernon Bass officiating. Burial will follow in the Reynolds Cemetery at Lamar. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville (479) 754-2201.

Casket Bearers will be Jamie Taylor, KT Turner, Ryan Turner, William Turner, Cody Kraus, and Jerry Davis.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Jerry Killough, Wayne Wilkins, Bud Parker, Harold Parker, Allen Thomas, Rowdy Hodges.
