Lindsey Jordan Murphy, 19, of DeWitt died Saturday, Augut 7, 2010. She was born April 20, 1991 in Stuttgart to Gerald Steven and Penny Rawls Murphy. She worked at the Hestir Dental Clinic and attended Phillips Community College.

Jordan was a graduate of DeWitt High School (2009), 2009 Homecoming Queen, 2009 Miss DeWitt, cheerleader, All-Star Cheerleader, chosen class favorite all four years. She was a member of the Student Council, Yearbook Staff, FBLA, SADD, Spanish Club, A-Team, Science Club, and Art Club.

Family includes her parents; grandparents, Edna Davis and the late Eugene Davis, DeWitt, Charlotte Murphy and the late Wilbur Murphy, DeWitt; great-grandparents, Mildred Manis and the late Fred Manis, and the late Paul and Doris Mitchell, Paul and Lizzie Davis, Joe and Emma Rawls, Bill and Annie Murphy; brothers, Craig Ellenberg and wife, Bethany of Tulare, Calif., Chris Murphy of DeWitt; nephews, Evan Ellenberg of Tulare, Calif.; aunts and uncles, Mitch and Gaye Rawls, Heber Springs, Raymond and Crystal Farrow, Curtis and Debbie Murphy, Bill Murphy, all of DeWitt and the late Ashley Davis; cousins, Clay, Tara, Laci and Heidi Farrow of DeWitt, Jesse, Kelli and Laura Rawls of Heber Springs, Holden Murphy of DeWitt.

Lindsey Murphy, Jacob Coleman killed in Arkansas Co. car crash

Arkansas State Police say two teenagers are dead after their car hit water on Airport Road in Arkansas County. Lindsey Murphy, 19, lost control of the car. It overturned in a ditch filled with water. The accident happened Saturday around 11:50 a.m. The passenger was 19-year-old Jacob Coleman.
