Walter Carlon Mannis of DeWitt, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was born Thursday, December 16, 1954 to William Dale Mannis and Eunice Wright in DeWitt, Arkansas. He was a farmer and was a member of the Community Bible Church of DeWitt. He was married May 3, 1975 to Regina Peebles. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his grand-children very much.
Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Surviving him are his wife, one son; William Carroll Mannis and fiancé Sonya Farrester of Stuttgart, Arkansas, three sisters; Myrl Simpson, Sandra Moreno and husband Jessie, and Carmella Simpson and husband Jeff; three brothers; Howard Mannis and wife Trilla, Elmo Mannis and wife Brenda and Doug Mannis all of DeWitt, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Carissa Nicole Mannis and Harley Grace Mannis of DeWitt, and Carson Lilly Mannis of Stuttgart; cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Essex Funeral Home Chapel, DeWitt, Arkansas. A private family burial will be at a later date at Thompson Cemetery in DeWitt.
