Thomas Irvine Smith 69, of DeWitt, died Jan 11. He was carpenter and a member of the General Assembly and Church of the First Born. He was born April 19, 1942, in Sacramento, CA, to Archimedes and Ruth Smith. His parents; wives, Sue Meyer Smith and Ilene Easter Smith; four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Walter Bell and his wife, Shannon, of Springfield, OR, Roger Bel 1 and his wife Patty, of Sapulpa, OK, Gary Bell of Eugene. OR, Leola Thomas and herhusband, Mike, of Eugene, OR, Cindy Flandemeyer of Brownsville, OR.and Kay Man-nis of Pine Bluff; a sister, Ruth Hansen of Bristol, OK; numerous grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Jan. 14 at the General Assembly and Church of the First Born with burial in Thompson Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.
