Alberta Mathew Hartsfield O'Steen was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Hartsfield and Celia Catherine Honeycutt. She was born in Deann, Hempstead County, Arkansas. She married John Lemuel O'Steen. She lived her adult life in Hope, Arkansas living on West Avenue B.
