Charles Cleveland Falls, Jr, 91 of Jacksonville passed away peacefully at his home February 12, 2014. He retired from the Navy as Master Chief at Naval Station Mayport, FL after 30 years of faithful service. His long military career included many leadership and instructor roles.
He was a devoted member of Wesconnett Baptist Church where he served on the finance committee, was a Sunday School teacher and TCU director, a member of Fleet Reserve Branch 126 and a Boy Scout Master as long as his health permitted.
Survivors are his loving wife of 71 years, June; son, John Falls, Sr; daughter Dana Falls; grandson, John Falls, Jr (Paula); granddaughter Denee Sizemore (Scott); two great grandchildren, Garrett and Grace Marie Sizemore; a step great granddaughter Tristan Pope; sister, Jennie Allen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends a very special thank you to the home bound visitation ministry of Wesconnett Baptist Church and attention of devoted caregivers.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Wesconnett Baptist Church, 5711 Wesconnett Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32244. The celebration of life service will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks remembrances be made in his name to Wesconnett Baptist Church.
Internment with full military honors in DeWitt, Arkansas.
