Georgia Belle Moran, 91, of Conway, passed away on Wednesday February 25, 2009. Born on September 21, 1917 in Greenbrier, Arkansas, she was the oldest child of the late George T. Lieblong, Sr. and Mattie (Dickens) Lieblong and was the step-daughter of Opal (Edwards) Lieblong. She was a member of the Greenbrier United Methodist Church.

In addition to her mother, father and step-mother, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernie M. Moran and brothers George T. Lieblong, Jr. and Sam D. Lieblong. She is survived by her sister Fern S. Mack of Greenbrier, son James Moran and wife Carolyn of Conway, grandchildren Jeff Moran of Conway, Christy Keller and husband Sam of Greenbrier, Misty Moran of Conway, and Sara Coolidge and husband Thomas of Anchorage, AK, great-grandsons Benjamin Ritchey and Ryan Coolidge, step-daughter Clara Mae Mash and husband Melvin of Glade Spring, VA, their three children, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Georgia Belle was a hairdresser most of her life. After opening the first beauty shop in Greenbrier at the age of 21 she later operated shops in Conway and Little Rock and was an instructor at Eaton Beauty School in Little Rock. She and Ernie operated a general store and later a dairy business in Greenbrier. She also worked at Baldwin Piano in Conway. Always cooking and baking for friends and family, after her retirement she was asked by a friend to help her bake the well known cakes and biscuits that were enjoyed by many at Stoby’s. She always stayed busy, visiting with, appreciating and doing for her friends and family, telling stories about the old days, participating in church activities, baking, crocheting and spending time with her grandson Jeff.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Debbie Chapman, her family and staff for their loving care and kindness shown to Georgia during her extended illness.

Services will be held at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier at 1:00 PM Saturday with Bro. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Thorn Cemetery with Zachary Mack, Benjamin Ritchey, Brian Ritchey, Bill Nutter, Sonny Akers, and Derek Harmon serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
