Husband of Jeanette Fern Pickney (marr. 09 Nov 1968); son of Henry and Zelma Neece Darris.
Jerry Wayne Darris, 65, of Black Rock, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his residence.
Born September 2, 1949 in Powhatan, son of Henry and Zelma Neece Darris. He was a Maintenance and Water Technician for the City of Black Rock and a commercial fisherman.
He was united in marriage to Jeanette Pickney on November 9, 1968.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry Wayne Darris, Jr; a brother, Alfred Charles Darris; three sisters, Betty Berry, Pauline Wilson and Yvonne Shelton.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Darris and son, Wayne Darris both of the home; daughter, Pam (Alan) Smith; grandchildren, Hunter and Alyson Smith, all of Walnut Ridge; brothers, Sonny and Bobby Darris, both of Black Rock; sisters, Maggie Davidson, Judy Reynolds and Cathryn Ferguson, all of Black Rock; Peggy Haley of Paragould, and Henrietta Twilla of Walnut Ridge; and special friends, Ray Cason of Tuckerman and Linda Robertson of Black Rock.
