Pauline Melton
Pauline Melton, 91, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, formerly of Yellville, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born January 1, 1920, in Marion County, Arkansas to Anderson and Cora (Treat) Raby. She was a housewife, a member of Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church and a member of Eastern Star since 1951.
She is survived by four sons: Frankie Melton, of Lockesburg, Arkansas; G.C. Melton, of Yellville, Arkansas; Jim Melton, of Morris, Oklahoma; and Omer Melton, Jr. also of Lockesburg, Arkansas; a daughter, Bonnie Martin, of Lockesburg, Arkansas; a half-sister, Jackie Mullins, of Harrison, Arkansas; thirty grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer, and two daughters: Euna and Georgia.
Visitation for Mrs. Melton will be Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Burns Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church near Yellville, with Rev. Don Cremer officiating.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Members of the local Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers.
