Edgal Joseph Holt, 70, of Pea Ridge died Feb. 16, 1995, at his home. He was born May 15, 1924, at Jasper to John Amos Holt Sr. and Anna Morgan Holt.
He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a machine gun crewman and infantryman. He was wounded at Iwa Jima and received the Purple Heart Medal.
He attended two years of seminary at Waxahatchie, Texas, and was an ordained minister of the gospel. He was a member of the Twelve Corners Baptist Church, commander of Chapter 53 DAV of Bentonville, a member of the American Legion Post 100 of Rogers, VFW Post 8109 of Pea Ridge, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart of Rogers.
He moved to Pea Ridge from Lowell in 1976 and was a self employed Ford mechanic technician.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Albert Dale Campbell, Billy Ray Campbell, and Kenneth Ray Campbell; one daughter, Beverly Jane Campbell; two brothers, Lloyd Holt and Dorvin Holt.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Holt of the home; four sons, Jimmy L. Dunn of Pea Ridge, David E. Covington and Larry Joe Campbell of Rogers, Jerry Allen Campbell of Auxberg, Germany; five daughters, Nobia D. Story of Rifle, Colo., Terrie Sheppard of Springdale, Brenda Kay Drinkwater of Avoca, Peggy Fay Potter of Seligman, and Melody Johns of Clarksville; four brothers, John A. Holt Jr. and Kenneth Holt of Springdale, Henry Holt of Clarksville, and Harry Holt of Elm Springs; three sisters, Ruby Peacock of Harrison, Mary Viera of Rogers and Glenna Young of Fayetteville; 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Feb. 20 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge with the Rev. Rick W Booyer. Burial with military honors was at Buttram Chapel Cemetery under direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

SPRINGDALE — Mary Maglina Holt, 90, of Springdale, formerly of Pea Ridge, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County. She was born March 14, 1923, in Oil Trough, Ark., to William Alexander Reagan and Elva Lee Ramey Reagan.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, quilting and sewing. She was a member of the 53rd Disabled American Veterans. commander of the DAV Ladies Auxiliary, mission's prayer leader, Veterans Hospital volunteer, Ladies Auxiliary quilting organization and member of the Purple Heart.
She was a member of Twelve Corners Baptist Church, and is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Holt; three sons, Albert Dale Campbell, Billy Ray Campbell and Kenneth Ray Campbell; one daughter, Beverly Jane Campbell; one brother; two sisters; and two grandchildren.
Survivors are four sons, Jim Dunn and Larry Campbell and wife, Diane, all of Pea Ridge, Dave Covington and wife, Jo Ann, of Rogers, Jerry A. Campbell and wife, Margit, of Auxberg, Germany; three daughters, Nobia Story and husband, Al Ray, of Rye, Colo., Brenda Hull and husband, Tom, of Springdale, and Peggy Potter and husband, David, of Pineville; one sister-in-law, Marie Reagan of Winnie, Texas; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for Friday, June 14, 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Home chapel in Pea Ridge. Burial will be at Buttram Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation is set for Thursday, June 13, 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
