Lee Humphrey
Lee Humphrey, age 92, of Flippin, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Creekside Nursing and Rehab in Yellville.
He was born December 19, 1922 in Cozahome, Arkansas to the late George Washington and Florence (Corn) Humphrey. A lifetime resident of the area he was a retired sawmill operator. He attended Rea Valley Baptist Church and was active at Marion County Senior Center Activities.
He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Jones and her husband, Jerry, of Yellville; one grandchild, Jennifer Jones of Forney, Texas; one great-grandchild, Jayden Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Humphrey was preceded in death by his wife, Joerean in 2005; and by three sisters: Opal, Nola, and Lula.
A Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Yellville with Bro. Jack Gilliland officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Yellville.
Pallbearers will be Larry Bearden, Keith Sullivan, Jack Akins, Wayne Miles, David Humphrey, and Freddy Wynn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Herron, the staff of Ahrens Clinic, and the staff of Creekside Health and Rehab.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Fund.
