Charlie Gene Stane, 49, of Houston, Ark., passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014.
He was born Sept. 4, 1964, in Houston, Ark., a son of the late Ellis Eugene Stane.
He was a carpenter and a member of Stony Point Baptist Church. He was loved fiercely by so many and touched many lives by his selflessness. He always had a quiet word to share and a handshake to give. You could always find him driving the road looking for deer and enjoying the outdoors.
Survivors include his mother, Claudia Gwin Ford of Houston, Ark.; four daughters, Holly Marie Gregg and husband Glenn, Angel Lea Stane, Carol Brianna Stane, all of Houston, Ark., and Carmen Nicole Childers of Vilonia; one son, Warren Anthony Stane and wife Lynsey of Bigelow, Ark.; seven sisters, Jo Ann Jordan and husband John of Houston, Ark., Fredia Wiley and husband Wayne of Holland, Jeannie Sober, Penny Freeman and husband Ralph, Becky Riddle and husband Steve, Peggy England and Lesia Burk, all of Houston, Ark.; three grandchildren, Katelyn Marie Gregg, Corbett Gene Stane, and Kallie Elise Gregg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Stony Point Baptist Church, with Bro. Dusty Day officiating.
Burial was at Edlin Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
