Obituary
Donald Gordon "Sonny" Butcher, 82 years old, passed away on December 10, 2012 in Henderson, NV. He was born in DeWitt, Arkansas on November 28, 1930.

He was a retired painter who loved traveling, reading, telling stories and making people laugh.

He is survived by three sons. Jimmy (Glenna) Butcher of Millington, TN; Michael Butcher of Hamilton, OH; and Scotty (Evelyn) Butcher of Bartlett, TN as well as a sister, Dimple Diviney from Henderson, NV. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Dwayne Butcher and Joe Butcher both of Memphis, TN; April Yancey of Brighton, TN; Jaime Butcher of Millington, TN. He also leaves eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who cherish memories of their Uncle Sonny.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sidney Butcher and mother, Mallie Sophrona Butcher; his oldest son Donnie Butcher, seven brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held in DeWitt, Arkansas on December 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the DeWitt Cemetery.
