Marion Thomas Wigton “Wig”, 68 of Powhatan passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was born April 9, 1946 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Quinton and Othell McCarrol Wigton. He retired from Craighead Electric Cooperation of Jonesboro as a trouble shooter lineman. He was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church near Eaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Lula Belle Wigton.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Poff Wigton of Powhatan; sons, Thomas Quinton Wigton (Nicole) of Lynn, Jacob Wigton of the home; daughters, Jodi Cain Coats of Lynn, Lori Fox (Dave) of Carterville, Illinois; sister, Roseann Entwistle of Lockport, New York; granddaughters, Hannah Coats of Lynn, Katie and Madison Fox of Carterville, Illinois and Quinnalyn Wigton of Lynn; grandsons, Hayden Coats and Thomas Cole Wigton both of Lynn. Funeral Services will be Monday,11:00 a.m. at House Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Don Winfrey and Geral Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery near Smithville with military honors.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 in House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Pallbearers: Phillip Brown, Chris Cook, Craig Martin, Rosco Woods, Mike Hawkins and Donald Comb.
Honorary: Owen Sharp, Ronnie Glenn, Clifton Brown, Aubrey Copeland “Sarge” and Darrel Blalock.
