Wife of Gary Winters. Donna the daughter of Jim and Louise (Costner) Robbins.

Donna Carole Winters, 70, of Jonesboro went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St Elizabeth Place with her family by her side.

Donna and her to be husband Gary Winters met on the campus of Arkansas State University, and they were married for 48 years. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a beloved sister in Christ. Donna was a stay at home mother that raised her children in a strong Christian home. Early on in her and Dr. Gary Winter’s marriage they moved around to different locations as he was a Public School Administrator, Executive Vice President and taught at a Private College in Tennessee and California. After several years their roles moved towards leading others to Christ and that is when they were called into the ministry. She spent over 34 years being a Soul winner and teacher for three year old children throughout their churches they pastored. The love and Christian example she showed throughout her life will be missed but never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Louise Costner Robbins, two brothers, Richard and Ronnie Robbins.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Gary Winters of Jonesboro; three sons, Wayne Winters (Joy), Nathan Winters (Christie), and Paul Winters (Kyla); one daughter, Kimberly Winters; 12 grandchildren, Zack, Luke, Kela, Liberty, Tyler, Andrew, Zayden, Callianna, Bryzon, Kaylah, Brielle, and Titus Winters; two sisters, Frances Holloway and Brenda Butcher.

A Funeral Service will be Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 2pm in the Jonesboro Baptist Church with her husband, Dr. Gary Winters, and her three sons; Pastor Wayne, Nathan, and Paul Winters eulogizing a life well lived. Interment will take place at Smithville Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
