Allen R. Rozzell, M.D. of Atkins(Pope County), Arkansas, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at his home. He was born in Scott(Pulaski County), Arkansas to the late Forrest & Agness Carroll Rozzell. Dr. Rozzell graduated from Little Rock High School and later from the University of Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Science degree(1960). He was called into military service at this time. He earned the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force, where he served in France for 3 of his 4 years of service.
Upon his discharge, he entered the study of pathology and completed his studies in 1965, with a residency at the University of Missouri.
For 13 years, he worked at St. Vincent Infirmary as a pathologist. Then he went to St. Anthony's Hospital in Morrilton (1977 to 1985). He worked as a family practioner in Gurdon, Little Rock, and Hot Springs, Arkansas. Allen also worked at various emergency rooms across the state, and beginning in 1991, he worked for 2 years in Saudi Arabia as a General Practioner.
Upon returning to the United States, he resumed working as an Emergency Room physician until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife: Pattie (Hubbard)Rozzell of Atkins; four daughters: Leslie Breeding of Arizona, Allison Rozzell of Arizona, Amy Hubbard of Conway, and Lauren Barnes of Little Rock, Arkansas; one son: Greg Rozzell of Arizona; one stepson: Todd Knifong of Benton, Arkansas; one stepdaughter: Tammy Knifong of Little Rock, Arkansas; 6 granddaughters; 1 grandson; and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 2:00p.m. at Lemley Funeral Home.
The Rev. John Vise officated the service.

Pattie Marie Hubbard Rozzell, 65, formerly of Atkins AR, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant AR.

She was born November 27, 1944 in Atkins AR to the late Fred & Una Bolin Hubbard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Allen R Rozzell; four brothers, H.H., Wallace, Bill and Jack Hubbard, one sister Lois Keener and nephew James Franklin Hubbard.

Survivors include one son Todd (Tracy) Knifong of Benton, one daughter Tammy Knifong of Little Rock; granddaughter Dana Martin, two great-grandsons Dalton & Peyton Martin all of Benton; two brothers Bob & Emmett Hubbard of Missouri and two sisters, Jo Sand of Atkins and Sue Carpenter of Little Rock; several nieces and nephews and her pet Pomeranians Murray and Delilah.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 2:00–4:00pm with a celebration of her life to be held on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2:00pm, at Lemley Funeral Home, Atkins AR. Burial will follow at Atkins City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen McGuirt, Mike White, Andrew White, John McLelland, Samuel McLelland and Tim Younger.
