Dean Wallace Shatwell, 83, of Clarksville died Sunday, April 10, 2011.
He was a native of the Red Rock Community, son of the late Clyde and Ora Mallick Shatwell, World War II Army veteran, 20-year employee of ConAgra, Baptist, avid bowler, and was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Shatwell; three sisters, Imalee Madewell, Marie Lindsey, and Linda Brown; and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth White and Junior Madewell.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Edna Forrester Shatwell; four daughters, Debra (Red) Demmitt of London, Timley (Van) Dickens of Atkins, Pat (J.C.) Davis of Clarksville; and Darlene (Donnie) Ford of Russellville; five brothers, LeRoy Shatwell, Freddy Shatwell, Redell Shatwell, Kenneth Shatwell, and Delman Shatwell; one sister, Emogene White; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at First Baptist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Darrell Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Atkins City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Community Funeral Service.
