Mrs. Faye Lind Starkey, 78 of Conway, died Saturday, September 12, 2009. Mrs. Starkey was born August 20, 1931 in Gleason, AR to the late George and Hazel (Bishop) Lind.
Faye was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan, especially basketball. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters, and husband Dayton Starkey. She is survived by children Linda Phillips of Vilonia, Susan Phillips and husband Larry Sr. of Conway, and Michael Starkey of Conway; grandchildren Tena, Dennis Jr., Brian, Helen, Tommy, Brandy, Stevie Jr., Larry Jr., Crystal Faye, Jason Dayton, Kasi Sue, and Kody; 16 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, followed by burial at Line Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Glenn, Jason Starkey, Eric Lambert, Larry Jones, George Paulos, Butch Zoch, Sean Phillips, and Jerry Starkey. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 1751 Dave Ward Dr., Conway, AR 72034, 501-327-5000.
