DEWITT - Skippy Duane Jackson, age 67, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, on July 14, 2011. He was born January 14, 1944 to Miles and Arizona Jackson. He served in the Navy in California. Skippy was baptized in the General Assembly Church of the First Born, August of 1968. He was owner and operator of Razorback Body and Glass for over 30 years and j recently the owner and operator of Razorback Auto Sales and Glass. He was a member of DeWitt Chamber of Commerce.
Skippy was married to Martha Mitchell Jackson on May 17, 1968. They were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Faith Jackson Watkins and Hope Jackson Stroh. Their family was blessed even more with the growth of two outstanding sons-in-law, Michael Watkins and Lance Stroh. Over the years the family grewmore with the births of his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye, Montana "Rowdy" Watkins, Lance Stroh, Jackson Watkins, and his little angel Kaitlyn Stroh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Nora Lee Watkins and a brother, Miles Junior Jackson. He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, two sisters, Georgia Raper of Benton, Onnie Morris and husband Bud of Heber Springs, and one brother, John Bill Jackson and wife Addelene of DeWitt, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2011, at General Assembly and Church of the First Born. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.
