Sarah Francis Rosebud "Frankie" Crossno Franklin was the daughter of James Knox Polk and Sarah LaVanda Kuykendall Crossno.
Frankie married Alonzo Turner "Lon" Franklin on March 19, 1912 in Etna, Franklin Co., Arkansas.
Frankie and Lon moved from Etna to Wetumpka, Hughes Co., Oklahoma about 1917. Frankie managed the Wetumpka Hotel, while Lon worked in the Oklahoma Oil Fields. They saved enough money to buy 250 acres in Robertstown, Conway Co., Arkansas in 1931. That is when they moved from Oklahoma back to Arkansas.
Frankie was known for her beautiful flower gardens, especially for her roses. People came from miles around to see her roses.
Frankie was avid in her faith, Assembly of God. She rarely missed a service, unless she was traveling, she loved to visit relatives and friends.
