Obituary
Jeanne Spears Church, 80, of Jerusalem, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at her home.
She was born on January 30, 1928, at Jerusalem to Archie and Rhea Johnson Spears. Jeanne was a loving wife, mother,grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her family was very dear to her. Jeanne was the Jerusalem Postmaster for 27 1/2 years and a long-time correspondent for the Petit Jean Headlight and the Atkins Chronicle. She was a member of the Jerusalem Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Elizabeth; and a granddaughter, Amber Lynn Dicks.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, J.E. Church of Jerusalem; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Francine Church of Jerusalem; a daughter and son-in-law, Louann and Larry Dicks of Dardanelle; a sister, Eura Faye Norwood of Jerusalem; five grandsons, Allyn Church of Jerusalem, Gene Church and his wife Shelley of Bella Vista, Jeremy Church and his wife Crystal of Grayette, Nathan Church and his wife Jessica of Mt. Vernon, and Christopher Dicks of Dardanelle; a granddaughter, Leighann Dicks of Dardanelle; and 12 great grandchildren, Andrew and Coady Church both of Greenwood, Brian, Christopher, Derrick and Mark Miller, all of Bella Vista, Matthew, Kaylee, and Bubba Church, all of Gravette, Cameron, Makayla, and Ashlyn Church, all of Mt. Vernon.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008, at the Jerusalem Church of Christ with Scott Roderick and Burt Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in Robertstown Cemetery near Jerusalem under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Pallbearers wil be grandsons, Allyn, Gene, Nathan, and Jeremy Church, Christopher Dics, and family friend, Jimmy Dale Jones.
