Obituary
Tony Douglas Rowell, Jr. age 75 of Hattieville, Arkansas, passed away, Sunday, June 5, 2011. He was born October 14, 1935 at Old Hickory, Arkansas, a son of Tony Rowell, Sr. and Lorene Haralson Rowell. He was a member and deacon at Jerusalem Freewill Baptist Church, Kiwanis, Cattlemans Association, Lanty Masonic Lodge and worked 29 ½ years for Crompton Mills and retired as Conway County Tax Assessor.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Lois McCoy Rowell of Hattieville; son Monty Anthony Rowell and wife Nancy of Conway; daughter, Toni Sheree Rowell of Benton; granddaughter, Angela Keri Rowell and husband Karl of Conway; grandson, Brandon Latham Rowell of Chicago, Illinois, and a sister, Virginia Norwood of Jerusalem.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Harris Chapel with Rev. Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Pallbearers will be Carl Poteete, Greg Flowers, Gary Atkinson, Karl Smith, Lyle Cothren, and Gary Bradley.
