Vesta E. Samuel, 89, of Springdale, died Sunday, April 9, 1995, at Holland Nursing Center-West.
Born Oct. 1, 1905, at Mundell, the daughter of Robert and Maggie A. Clark Vanhook, she was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge, where she taught Sunday school.
She moved to the area 12 years ago from Pea Ridge. She was the widow of Everett F. Samuel.
Survivors are two daughters, Ruth Puryear of Springdale and Betty Callaghan of Scottsdale, Ariz.; at brother, Mitchell Vanhook of Springdale; a sister, Cordelia Jones of Huntsville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. today at Sisco Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Burton A. Miley officiating. Burial is in Friendship Cemetery.
