Bonnie Zeltie Louise Sommers, 83, of Atkins, went to live in her heavenly home Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born October 28, 1931, on Isabell Creek, daughter of the late Charlie and Evie Jane Burris Chronister. She attended Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church, worked at the Russellville Shoe Factory for 14 years, and retired from ConAgra Hatchery in Atkins after 20 years.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Sommers; sister, Elsie Henderson; daughter-in-law, Sheila Sommers.She is survived by 2 sons, Sammy Sommers of Atkins, and Bruce Sommers and wife Julie of Solgohacia; 2 daughters, Kathy and husband Gary Murdoch of Atkins, and Ryna and husband Brian Purtle of Russellville; brother, Odell Chronister and wife Betty of Appleton; sister, Kathryn and husband George Duvall of Atkins; grandchildren, Mark Murdoch and wife Gail, Amy and husband Jon Dunlap, Shelly and husband Jonathan Sanders, Logan Purtle and Raigan Purtle; step-grandchildren, Cateena Duvall, Derrek Duvall and Cyndi Duvall; 6 great-grandchildren, Zack Murdoch, Moira Murdoch, Carly Dunlap, Lakin Sanders, Michael Sanders, Garrett Sanders; 8 step-great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild; best friend, Geneva Dixon; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Monday, February 16, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Mark Simmons and Sis. Mary Ann Chronister officiating. Private burial is in Cedar Creek Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, at Lemley Chapel.Pallbearers are nephews Jerrel Henderson, Bob Henderson, Mike Henderson, James Chronister, Jessie Chronister, David Chronister and Albert Duvall. Honorary pallbearers are J.D. Chronister, James Henderson, Geneva Dixon, Jack George and Randy Millikin.Memorials in her honor may be made to the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 2405 E. Parkway Suite 3, Russellville, AR 72802.
