Wife of Rayburn E McLaren
Janice McLaren, age 87, of Dover, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was born March 5, 1926, in Bennington, Oklahoma to David Littleton and Sarah "Nellie" Elliston Cobb.
She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Russellville where she was a member of the Reapers Sunday school class, a member of the Helping Hands, and a nursery worker for over 22 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rayburn E. McLaren; and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a son, Mark McLaren of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tawanna and Gary Jones of Dover and Karen and Jerry Dean of Clarksville; a sister, Theda Kissel of Durant, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and spouses, Peyton and Kenny Walker of Dover, Josh and Carrie Dean of Clarksville, Kelli and Travis McCurrie of Russellville, Jerred and Naomi Dean of Clarksville and Stephen McLaren of Conway; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2013, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Billy Ellis officiating. Burial will be private in the Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
