Neta Mae Baker Haynes, age 78, of Russellville, the widow of John R. Haynes, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at her home. A daughter of the late John Logan and Gladys Mae Willcutt Baker, she was born July 15, 1930, in Atkins. She retired from Con-Agra Frozen Foods, and then worked for over eight years for the Area Agency on Aging. She was an avid homemaker, loved cooking and cleaning and loved her children and grandchildren. Each of her grandchildren were very special to her. She was a Methodist.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son; two sisters, Hazel Boren and Helen Campbell.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law: Jerry R. Haynes of Russellville; Michael L. and Joy Haynes of Pottsville; and Freddie Haynes of Russellville; a daughter and son-in-law, Katie L. and Danny Hodges of Pottsville; a sister, Mabel Brown of Porterville, California; eight grandchildren: Tina L. Cooper, Anita Dawn Malik, John Norman Haynes, Kathy D. Parker, Brandy Ann Hudson, Natalie Lynn Abrahamson, Candice D. Haynes and Casey Lynn Haynes; nine great-grandchildren; and several special friends: Jackie Briggs, Lavene Mills; Opal Coffman, Wanda Tripp and Kathy Marlow.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Jim Huffman. Burial will be in the Atkins City Cemetery, by Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Tyner Tankersley, John Haynes, Craig Cooper, John Hudson, Clarence Haynes and Russell Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Cooper and Bill Duvall.
