Raymond Stubbs, 86, of Atkins died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the Atkins Nursing Center.
Born Jan.5, 1923, in Yell County, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Carl Andrew and Dora Vann Stubbs. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Tommy Gene, Earl, Pete and Hollis Stubbs; and three sisters, Ruby Eakes,Elma Sue Eakes and Mable Hegeman.
He is survived by two sons, Benny and Tommy Stubbs; a daughter, Patti Childress; four sisters, Evelyn Bauman,Carrie Austin, Helen Haney Winton, and Mary Lollis; seven grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Lemley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Atkins City Cemetery.
