STILWELL, Okla. — Sandra Loretta Whittenburg Hawk, 47, of Stilwell, Okla., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell.
She was born April 14, 1963, in Springdale, to John Elgin and Mary Estaleen Hayes Whittenburg and grew up in the Buckeye community. She was a sister, wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Louis R. Tennison.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas "Yogi" Hawk Jr. of the home; one son, Michael Thomas Hawk and wife Tracy and one daughter, Stephanie Ann Hawk, all of Tuttle, Ark.; seven sisters, Lillie Boshears of Fayetteville, Ark., Betty L. Hayes of Goshen, Ark., Helen M. Sharp of Mayfield, Ark., Opal S. Smith of Goshen, Ark., Janice A. Pritchett of Stilwell, Okla., Nina F. Hittson of Wheeler, Ark., and Linda Joann Smith of Mayfield, Ark.; four brothers, Roy Dean Whittenburg of Decatur, Mo., Donnie L. Whittenburg of Siloam Springs, Ark., David A. Whittenburg of Elkins, Ark., and Randy J. Whittenburg of Fayetteville, Ark.; and four grandchildren, Jayson Perkins, James Hawk, Kimberly Gordon and Cody Gordon.
Visitation will be today, March 3, 2011, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery.
Bearers will be Jim Tom Pritchett, Scotty Pritchett, Jeff Whittenburg, Daniel Smith, Coy Smith, Bradley Davis, James Acuff, Randall Acuff and Robert "Bob" Olson.
