FAYETTEVILLE — Janell Stiers, age 55, of Fayetteville, died June 18, 2011, at the Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. She was born July 24, 1955, in Fresno, Calif., the daughter of Gerald and Bonnell Hill McCutcheon.

She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a cook and baker in the school system. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and being outside, working with small children and cooking; she was considered a very good cook.

She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Keith McCutcheon.

She is survived by one son, Terry Stiers and his wife, Heather, of Fayetteville; one daughter, Mesha Tucker of Fayetteville; her mother, Bonnell McCutcheon, of Fayetteville; four brothers, Junior McCutcheon of Lowell, Andy McCutcheon of Gravette, Butch McCutcheon of Weatherford, Texas, and Donnie McCutcheon of Gravette; three sisters, Marge Loveland and Jerri McCutcheon, both of Hamilton, Mont., and Gayla McCutcheon of Gravette; three grandchildren; and another grandchild expected in November.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. There is not a scheduled visitation.
