Mayme Corine Beene, 92, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Conway Healthcare and Rehab. She was born July 2, 1918, a daughter to the late Harmon and Ethel Johnston. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Beene after 64 years of marriage; a son Curtis Beene, a sister, Amy (Denver) Collins and a sister-in-law, Reba Johnston.

She is survived by her son, Dib (Myrt) Beene of Hattieville; her daughter, Merle (Jimmy) Thomas of Greenbrier; grandson, Cody (Sammie) Beene of Hattieville; three great-grandchildren, Bucky, Bradey and Bracie Beene of Hattieville; 2 brothers, Clayton Dee Johnston of Vilonia; and Jess (Leona) Johnston of Mayflower. Special friends, Kenny, Melanie and Trey Lentz of Greenbrier.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, with Glen Elliot officiating. Burial will follow in Thorn Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Greenbrier. 501-679-2575.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Conway Healthcare and Rehab and the hospice staff, nurses, CNA's for the wonderful care of our Mother, and a very special thanks to Marsha Robinson and Regina Warren.
