Obituary
Zelda Louise Holloway, 79, of Greenbrier passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Judsonia, AR on March 8, 1929, she was a daughter to the late Add Latta and Josie (Lowery) Brunson. Zelda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, gardening, raising chickens and being with her family. She had been a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier for thirty-two years. Before retirement she had worked for National Old Line Insurance Co. and as City Clerk for both the cities of Morrilton and Greenbrier. She was also secretary treasurer for Thorn Cemetery in Greenbrier.
Zelda was also preceded in death by a son James Holloway, Jr.; an infant daughter; a sister Eloise Scroggins and a brother Ernest Brunson
Survivors include her husband of 62 years James Holloway, Sr.; a son Jerry Holloway and wife Faye; a daughter D. Ann Phillips and husband Terry both of Greenbrier; seven grandchildren: Christy Brown, Missy Milner, Shannon Weaver, Shelly McNeil, Allan Holloway, Michelle Phillips and Mark Phillips; twelve great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Mary Holloway and a host of friends.
The family wishes to send special thanks to Hospice Care at Baptist Hospital for the kind and loving care given to Zelda. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 18, at the funeral home with interment to follow at Thorn Cemetery.
