Betty Freeman Marsh, 78, of Atkins, died Monday, October 26, 2009, at Select Specialty Hospital in Little Rock.

She was born August 2, 1931, at Buttermilk (Pope County), AR, and was the daughter of the late John and Leiu Burk Freeman, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Cleat Marsh, her step-mother, Ruth Freeman; brothers, Richard, Lloyd, Cloyd (Tommy), Floyd Jimmy Freeman; 2 infant brothers, and 2 sisters, Hallie McCawly and Anna Owen. She was a employee of International Shoe Company, Levi Strauss and Daylight Donuts and was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by 2 daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Jerry Cox of Henderson, Nevada, and Annette Marsh and Jim Duncan of Atkins, 2 sisters-in-law, Verlan Freeman and Pearl Freeman; 4 grandchildren, Blake Cox, James Duncan, Samantha Duncan Sabrina Duncan; 11 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2009, at the Lemley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Johnny McCoy officiating.. Burial will be in Atkins City Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2009; at Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be James Freeman, Bryan Freeman, John Freeman, Jimmy Freeman, Eddie Staggs, Orval John Harris and Floyd Freeman.
