March 25, 1852 - December 27, 1935
Mrs. S. A. Voss, aged 83, well-known Stephens resident, died at 4 a.m. Friday at her home. She was active in church and civic affairs and taught Bible classes for many years. Funeral services will be held at the Stephens Church of Christ on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Harvey W. Riggs of Camden officiating, assisted by the Methodist pastor at Stephens. She is survived by a son John Voss, of Dubach, La. She was born in Tennessee in 1852 but came to Ouachita county when a young girl and has resided in this county all her life. She was a pioneer member of the Whitefield church near Buena Vista. Burial will be in Stephens with Proctor funeral home in charge. Pallbearers will be Roy Caldwell, Sam Eubanks, Joe Rogers, W. H. Hogg, Clyde Wesson, and Duke Hall. (Camden Times - December 26, 1935)
