May 14, 1897 - July 7, 1964
Mrs. Pansy Oliver Passwaters, 66, of Stephens died Tuesday afternoon in a Camden hospital following an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Passwaters was a long time resident of Stephens, a member of the Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Passwaters and Bill Passawaters, both of Stephens; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Bryant of Stephens; a brother, W. B. Alderson of Oklahoma; and a sister, Mrs. Grace White of Stephens; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Stephens Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Sewell officiating. Burial followed in Stephens Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home. The body was carried to the Passwaters home Wednesday afternoon where it lay in state until for final rites. (The El Dorado Times - July 9, 1964)
