Private First Class Taylor was a member of the 57th Ordnance Recovery Company, U.S. Army. He died of other causes on May 20, 1952 near Uijonbu, South Korea. Private First Class Taylor was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
