Dixie Rose Morris, 86, of Hoxie, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

Born January 6, 1929 in Monette, Arkansas to James and Dora Marie Coward Gross. She was a nurses assistant and a member of the Hoxie First Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to the late Woodrow W. Morris on February 19, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woodrow W. Morris; three sons, Dicky, Jacky, and Danny Morris; one daughter, Betty Francis (Penny); two Granddaughters, Cherie and Stephanie Morris; three brothers, Miles Elmer, James, and Bart Lee Gross; one sister, Sarah Kathryn Gross Harold; and one step grandson, Mark Rodriguez.

She is survived by seven sons, James Morris of South Haven, Michigan, Charles Morris, Tommy Morris and Teddy Morris all of Hoxie, Eldon Morris and Dennis Morris both of Paragould, Robert Morris of Walnut Ridge; one daughter, Pamela Rogers of Hoxie; 22 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 20 step great grandchildren; 6 step great great grandchildren.
