Corpl. William E. Cragar, born April 1845 died June 17, 1916; Union Veteran, 13th Indiana Infantry, Co. A. William entered as a Private but was promoted to a full Corporal during the War. He was mustered out on September 5, 1865, at Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Son of Samuel & Malinda Cragar. Husband of Christina VALLOND Cragar, married January 1, 1871, in Franklin County, Indiana; they were the parents of at least 11 children.
