The Memphis Commercial Appeal
Maurice Owens Wilkins Jr. came to Memphis from Oklahoma two years ago when his health failed. He died Monday night, October 11, at Oakville Sanarorium at the age of 44.
Burial to be in Forrest City Cemetery in Forrest City, AR.
Mr. Wilkins leaves his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Wilkins, who has lived at 2017 Carr in Memphis since her husband 's illness; a daughter, Mrs. Dan Wilson of Alexandria, LA; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Owens Wilkins Sr. of Forrest City; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Pennington of Memphis, Mrs. Dwain Claxton of Forrest City and Mrs. Rockie Paladino of North Little Rock.
